Senator Ted Cruz of Texas was the featured guest at the “Day of Unity for Texas” event in Bellaire, and it was my honor to cover the event and to photograph him.

The honorable Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston was also in attendance, gracing the Day of Unity convocation. Mayor Turner’s presence, of course, enhances the status of any event whatsoever. But this event was so momentous that that status enhancement could almost be said to go in both directions!
